I was diagnosed with sculiosis when I was 13 years old. I was given a medical corset, which is made out of hard plastic. My whole upper body got plastered. The corset has spare fields, like holes, where my muscles are weaker, so I breathe directly there. I had to wear it 23 out of 24 hours a day until I was fully grown. The idea was to literally breathe myself straight. It inscribed itself in my body like a photographic long exposure.
Even though it doesn‘t fit anymore, it is still a part of me. I still carry it with me, somehow.
